The Anacostia Alumni Group is a group of concerned alumni whose vision and purpose is to support the students of the Academies at Anacostia Senior High School, support strategies to increase test scores and graduation rates. We therefore commit ourselves to individually and collectively accept the challenges as stated.
The purpose of the group includes, but not limited to:
(a) Functioning independently of Anacostia Senior High School, to rescue Anacostia students from their current academic situations;
(b) Provide for the educational needs of current students of Anacostia High School, thus increasing test scores and graduation rates;
(c) Advocate on behalf of Anacostia Senior High School as it relates to facilities, academic enrichment and financial stability.
(d) Hold fundraisers and other activities to include soliciting funds for the aforementioned purposes.
